Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics at Glen William Public School

Glen William Public School offers weekly SRE (Special Religious Education) lessons provided by a local representative authorised by Tanilba Christian Reformed Churches of Australia.  Recognising the importance of spiritual wellbeing, all of our students are offered the opportunity to participate in inclusive and non-threatening lessons encouraging tolerance towards other faith heritages.  By providing appropriate answers and pastoral support to students and families when requested, our SRE program supports our school community and enhances the education of our young people.

SRE classes are not tied to a particular denomination. Curriculum material comes from the Connect curriculum.  Further information about SRE and these curriculum materials can be found at: https://cepconnect.com.au/curriculum

SEE (Special Education in Ethics) is not available at Glen William Public School at this time.

Students whose parent/guardian/carer has elected not to participate in SRE classes are provided with supervision and alternate educational activities.  This decision must be communicated to the school in writing.  Participation can be changed by completing an online participation letter available on the website.
